Blastcoat Employee Onboarding Policy.

Policy Statement: At Blastcoat, we value efficiency and compliance in the onboarding process for our employees. This policy outlines the necessary employment information that must be submitted by all employees before they can commence work. By adhering to this policy, we ensure a smooth transition into the organization while maintaining legal and regulatory requirements.

This policy applies to all new employees joining Blastcoat, including full-time, part-time, temporary, casual, and contract workers.

Policy Guidelines:

  1. Offer Acceptance: a. Upon accepting the offer of employment, the new employee must confirm their acceptance in writing or electronically. This can be via email correspondence. 

  2. Personal Information: a. All employees are required to provide accurate and up-to-date personal information, including: i. Full legal name ii. Contact details (address, phone number, email) iii. Date of birth iv. Drivers license or equivalent identification v. Emergency contact information

  3. Employment Eligibility Verification: a. In compliance with immigration laws, all non-Australian citizen employees must complete the necessary employment eligibility verification process. The appropriate documents to establish identity and work authorisation should be submitted to the designated HR representative within three business days of starting employment.

  4. Taxation Information: a. All employees must provide accurate tax-related information, including: i. Tax File Number ii. Superannuation details iii. Higher education loan repayment details iv. Any additional tax-related documents required by local tax authorities.

  5. Banking Details: a. Employees are required to provide banking details to facilitate salary payments via direct deposit. This includes: i. Bank name ii. Account holder’s name iii. Account number iv. BSB.

  6. Employment Agreements and Policies: a. Prior to commencing work, employees must acknowledge receipt and understanding of Blastcoat’s employment agreements, policies, and procedures. This may include but is not limited to: i. Employee handbook ii. Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements iii. Code of conduct and ethics policies. By submitting the onboarding form, you automatically agree to these terms.

  7. Background Checks: a. Depending on the nature of the position and legal requirements, Blastcoat may conduct background checks on prospective employees. Any required consent forms and necessary information for conducting background checks should be completed and submitted as requested.

  8. Employee Orientation: a. New employees are expected to attend any designated employee orientation session(s) conducted by Blastcoat. During this orientation, employees may receive further information about company policies, procedures, benefits, and expectations.

Non-Compliance: Failure to comply with this policy may result in delays in the employee’s start date or termination of employment, subject to the discretion of Blastcoat management.

Policy Review: This policy will be reviewed periodically by the HR department to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. Any necessary updates will be communicated to all employees.

This policy is effective as of Friday 16th June 2023 and supersedes any previous policies or guidelines relating to employee onboarding at Blastcoat.
